In common with many of the properties we seek for inclusion in our programme, the Astir of Naxos is small enough to offer very personal service whilst simultaneously making available first class facilities. Likewise, it is always a bonus if both beach and local shops and hostelries are within easy striking distance, in this case only 4 and 15 minutes respectively.

Of the hotel's 26 bedrooms, 15 have sea view, the balance offer a countryside aspect. All are air-conditioned and all include a fridge, hairdryer, satellite TV and balcony or terrace. The large (300 sq. metres), freshwater swimming pool and jacuzzi impressed us, as did the elegant lounge, bar and reception area. 2013 will be the eleventh year that owners Georgos and daughter Evangelia will welcome Greek Sun clients.

Hotel Astir of Naxos is our first choice for a small hotel of quality in or close to Naxos Town and presents very good value for money.
