How much do our holidays cost?
With the constant fluctuation in financial and foreign exchange markets, calculating the cost of a holiday, then advertising it in a brochure which is printed months before travel is no longer an option. This is why so many tour operators have now moved to a “fluid pricing” strategy which means prices can go up or down depending on extenuating economic circumstances. For 2013, Greek Sun Holidays will continue this form of holiday pricing. What does this mean?
Prices shown on this site
Once an accommodation is selected to the left of the page are “Guide Prices”. These prices are not guaranteed as they are based on costs when the brochure was printed in October 2012. Included in these prices is the most cost effective travel from the U.K., details of which are shown on the 'Getting there' section to each island.
The price you will pay
To obtain an up to date price for a particular holiday, including your preferred travel arrangements, you will need to contact us by completing the booking/enquiry form on this site, by telephone, email, fax or letter post. We guarantee a reply with detailed itinerary and price within 48 hours. This price is then subject to our booking conditions.
What is included in the cost of our holidays?
As well as your accommodation and the services of our local representatives in Greece, we include all the travel arrangements on our holidays. Unlike some of our competitors, every last air and ferry ticket as well as transfers are included in the holiday price. For example, on our island hopping holidays, our clients are met and transferred everywhere. Likewise, all their transportation from and to the mainland as well as between the islands, whether by air or sea, is included. It is worth considering this when comparing prices to Greece that include just a return flight, short transfer and accommodation.
Our advice on getting the best price
Airlines try to entice custom by offering big savings to clients who book early. This is reflected in the cost of our holidays, so clients who book early will be paying less than clients who book late when the cost of airfares rise. Savings of over £100 per person are not unusual if you are able to book early. We never discount our holidays nor do we offer “late deals”.
OUR EXTENSIVE CHOICE OF TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Over the years, we have tried every which way to convey to our clients the wide choice of travel we are able to offer to Greece and the islands. In the past we have even had a dedicated 32 page travel arrangements brochure inserted in our main brochure which, with hindsight, was probably a mistake in that it presented total information overload!
We will continue to offer minimum travel information and there are good reasons for this. Quite often there are so many permutations in reaching the more remote Greek islands that the best way to relay this information to our clients is to discuss it on the telephone. Our 50 years experience of dovetailing Greek ferry schedules with international and domestic air schedules is second to none. The “Guide Prices” advertised on this site are based on the most cost effective travel from the U.K., details of which can be found in the 'Getting there' section to each island.
