To this end, we have selected five island groupings, each of which has favourable transport links. These five are:

A number of pre-arranged itineraries based on these groupings are listed below. These are itineraries which we recommend, but we must stress that we are completely flexible in the arrangements that we can make. Central Cyclades
Tinos, Mykonos, Syros, Paros, Antiparos, Naxos & Santorini
The name Cyclades probably derives from the circle these islands form around the ancient, sacred island of Delos, birthplace of the God Apollo. It is quite reasonable to say that the Central Cyclades are in our opinion the most satisfying archipelago for island hopping. The reasons for this are many, not least the excellent and frequent transport connections between these islands. The concentrated cluster of these islands may lead one to believe they share the same characteristics, but not a bit of it. Each has its own distinct traditions and customs and the level of tourism varies widely so déjà vu is not really a problem for the visitor.
Common to all is the blinding-white Cubist architecture and rocky, rather arid scenery. However, even these typical traits are offset by a myriad of variations, be they the verdant valleys of Naxos or the elegant townscape of Ermoupolis on Syros.

Southern Cyclades

This grouping is probably the quietest island hopping combination we offer. Certainly, Anafi and Sikinos can count themselves as totally unspoilt, with little to disturb the quest to relax and escape the stresses of everyday life on our own small, crowded island. Folegandros is beginning to attain a certain trendiness but is none the worse for it in our opinion as visitors benefit from good quality accommodation in or close to the spectacular Chora.

Lesser-Known Cyclades
Iraklia, Schinoussa, Koufonissia, Donoussa & Amorgos
This group of 5 islands that lie to the south of Naxos have become increasingly popular with our clients over the past few years. The main reason, as seems to be the case with many of our island hopping holidays, is the ability to escape from the mainstream tourist melee that seems to engulf vast areas of southern Europe. That said, with the exception of Amorgos, these are all very small islands and the scope for undertaking many of the holiday activities that are taken for granted in larger, more developed areas is limited. On the plus side, relaxation should come easily to all that wend their way through this part of the Aegean.
